What a fantastic St Piranβs Day event in Parliament.
From talking about the global Cornish diaspora to gig rowing, and from the arts to the wonderful produce that was on show, we really showed Parliament what makes our Cornish identity, heritage and culture so strong.
I will continue working for a system that is fairer for our communities.

Residents across South East Cornwall will have the chance to have their say on proposed changes to the TamarTag administration fee.
I have consistently pushed for greater transparency and fairness around the Tamar tolls, working locally and in Westminster, standing up for South East Cornwall.
We have a really great Town Council in Callington.
It was brilliant to speak with councillors about a range of issues from Tamar Tolls and business expansion to youth projects and their town regeneration plans.
South East Cornwall is home to some really great people who are doing fantastic things for the young people in our area.
The Vault Youth Centre is doing some excellent and important work for our local community.
It was great to bring together representatives from Go Cornwall Bus and Stagecoach, local government, community bus services, user groups and business leaders at my meeting in Saltash recently.

Kinship carers in South East Cornwall and across the country are doing some incredible work, often with little extra support.
Kinship is raising the profile of this issue and calling for emotional, practical and financial support for kinship carers.
It was fantastic to speak at the All-Party Parliamentary Group on the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development Business Conference about how our economic growth depends on a healthy environment.

I know that the Councilβs proposal to start charging to park cars at Kit Hill has been taken very seriously.
So Iβve spoken with my neighbouring MP Ben Maguire MP and written to the Council to understand this proposal further.

I know that people in Polruan are deeply concerned about the future of Polruan surgery since Fowey River Practice launched their consultation and engagement process.
Thatβs why I met with the Operations Manager and a Senior Partner GP, alongside members of the local parish council.

Mashfords boatyard at Cremyll is a key part of Cornwallβs boatbuilding history.
They are doing fantastic work offering marine maintenance and repair as part of UK Docks and Marine Services, providing secure jobs for local people and supporting our economy here in South East Cornwall.
But people must have a stake in these changes, and I am encouraging local organisations to submit responses to the consultation, which is open until 10th March.

People in South East Cornwall know that we need to get a grip on the housing crisis, and thatβs what this government is doing.
We are reforming planning policy to ensure that our young people can buy a house close to home.
Speaking on Greatest Hits Radio, I made it clear just how concerned local people in Liskeard and the surrounding areas are about the closure of Santanderβs bank in the town.
I am calling for improved access to banking services and cash in rural areas like ours, including banking hubs.

I know that supporting our young people with SEND is a top issue for many local people. These surveys are intended both for people attending these sessions and those who cannot make it so that as many voices can be heard as possible.
