Her eyes aren’t quite closed; she is squinting at my parents to do the cat love blink. She is adored and adoring. While I was on the phone with my mother she said to my father “oh did you come to say hi to [Astro]?”

I think her face looks generic cat happy, but we are bonkers obsessed with this cat and during lockdown we scientifically studied her body language. Her outstretched front paw is a greeting and invitation to touch. Her rolled-back laying posture is very happy.

Further detail from phone call: this was originally set up yesterday to photograph my mother’s pottery. The cat liked it so my father came to my mother today and said “she needs that to be set up again” and then rebuilt it
