Ah I thought you did and I've always heard that using the trailer setting to direct the light downwards isn't a bad thing to use since it maintains the driving performance etc. At least that's what I heard.

I don't have a trailer, but I use the trailer setting to aim the light from the lamps downwards.

That's an interesting fact that I never knew about and I can see how his reluctance might have added a unique edge to his character. I always thought he liked the role I guess he had some resentment we didn't know about at least I didn't.

Otherwise the glare from other cars obscures (and has always obscured) drivers' view of unilluminated objects.

I see your point about the whole enforcement thing I just think if you're on a two way lane and you see bright blinding lights coming towards you then that's not good. True no one would but I wouldn't want to test whether those gods are above the law on a bad day.
