Sunset, as seen looking towards the Italian side of the Mont Blanc massif from the balcony of La Refuge Des Cosmiques. Pointe Lachenal rises gently from the Col du Midi. The moon is visible in the upper left third of the image.

Here are some pictures from the top of an Alp earlier this month. Right after I left the area, it got hit by a massive snowstorm. On the days I was up there we were skiing on mostly ice, but it was still worth the effort for obvious reasons.

Image shows a box for a "pocket tone dialer" on a woodden surface with weaved textiles on the right hand side. The "pocket tone dialer" box is a bland representation of a device used in the 1990s by people who did not have touch tone phones (which are now also a relic). The device is a plastic slab with numbered keys reminiscent of an early mobile phone or a keypad for a modern electronic lock. The box advertises that "two ag13 batteries" are included. If an image could smell, this image would smell like a combination of must, rising damp, and the interior of a long-abandoned closet.

I got a late christmas gift. I need to find some non-exploding AG13 batteries.

An image of Rue Mont-Royal in Montreal, Quebec facing east, at night in mid-February, showing trees covered in coloured light nets, the tower of the Olympic Stadium and a lone pedestrian crossing a recently plowed street in front of a garbage truck and oncoming car traffic.
