Friday night 3 of my residents told me the California fires were an act of God because of all the "gays" out there. Infuriating and I can't say a thing. Can't wait for all these old racist, homophobic people to die off.

Have to vent. I am an RN working night shift in a long term care facility (nursing home). I love my little old people, I really do.
Tonight I relieved a male, African nurse. One of my favorite residents told me she was going to put a sign on her door reading "No black people allowed." 1 of ?
I am in my 30th year as an RN. I can't afford HCA coverage, my employer only offers an indemnity plan. I am also paying the price for my hard work. My residents have to get rid of assets they worked their entire lives for in order to get Medicaid coverage to stay in our nursing home. Travesty.
