I'm a fan of the franchise and liked the found footage and investigative side but this was more a theatrical production with new history thrown on that makes no contextual sense.

People say 3 was bad but honestly it was my favorite and snuck so much lore in there.

Watched new Hell House LLC film. There's a lot they could have done but instead turned it into a supernatural slasher exorcism film. Like would have been cool to have Vanessa stuck in a meta purgatory in the Abaddon and deal with her destined fate. Instead shoehorned more Carmichael stuff and blah.

I have to say this is probably my favorite reveal in the series.

Okay this movie is kind of amazing.

Randomly found this on YouTube. This is the intro to a TV movie or something on ABC. Like there is so much to discuss here. Like, the lead in to the title is so arbitrary and anticlimactic not to mention it's announced by Wolfman Jack.

Also seems after the title it should do something else. Nope.

Found this and yeah, the Pleasance ep is number 1. Also of note is Murder by the Book which was directed by a very young Steven Spielberg. Also a great reveal and great episode altogether.

I should sit down and rank the top 10 moments he totally craps the murderer. "Any Old Port in a Storm" and "How to Dial a Murder" have to be in my top 10. The latter is so completely ridiculous it is probably in the top 3.

Absolute magic in 2 minutes. You can see how he went from dunking on Columbo for being an idiot to "oh my god he's the one". The only thing that would have made it more ridiculous is if it cut to a simulated shot from Columbo's perspective where it's a half screen of neon green code and cigar smoke

Which oddly enough I found recently (on the bananas aspect) is a great way to ripen bananas. Until that point I thought it was a strange place to store them, thus the non sequitur

Bruce and I discussed a similar phrase the other day. Laughably it partially involved Mike with the phrases "they have their feet in the oatmeal" or "they have bananas in the oven"

Oh heck yeah. One of my favorite episodes is playing. Negative Reaction has one of the most "y'all been crapped" reveals of the series. Dick Van Dyke is so good in this one too.

I was gonna try to explain YBC which was a fun phrase coined by Quinn but it sort of explains itself given the context.

On Sundays after I get home from the gym I like to lay around with the dogs and watch Columbo.
