Air Canada cancels hundreds of flights as attendants go on strike The employees are demanding, in part, wage parity with smaller domestic airlines, a union spokesman said. More than 600 flights have been canceled.

Air Canada said it canceled more than 600 flights this week, with more cancellations looming, as a strike involving 10,000 of the airline’s flight attendants began early Saturday.
