I think a robin briefly began to practice singing pre dawn, one was on the wood store roof at breakfast. Not sure if front and back Robins are the same bird #FirstBirdofMyDay

Thank you. My knowledge is limited to the barrens of central Leeds and occasional holidays with trap on tour. Not done southern England so far.

Opened the curtains at Mum's that flushed two collared dove and a wood pigeon from under the feeders. The top of the birch had a two dozen goldfinch feeding on the twig ends, a sentinel wood pigeon oblivious. #FirstBirdofMyDay

Probably last moth morning for 2025, timings to challenging on a week day. Greated once the rain eased by the crazy overhead flight profile of the allotment Lotties long tailed tits, accompanied by a wren and others all chattering away. Home and the streets v quiet. #FirstBirdofMyDay

I choose it for our backyard as it is open to the alley, and is much less obvious to neighbours and passersby.
I have wondered about using one on the allotment but not sure if the Anglia Lepod. 12v inverter would run one, or just blow ? Is there a forum, as electrics not my forte

Thanks Steve. I will look that up as NFG VC65. Black light in the only negated garden in a terrace street has consistently out performed the actinic and LED on the allotments c 100 not very actively tended.
