but dont forget that art is a hobby at the end of the day, unless youre rushing to get in the industry, you shouldnt force yourself too much or else youll get burnt out

you will not figure everything out in one day and thats okay, it takes a lot of practice and study to improve, theres big artists who still struggle with stuff, but if you put consistent effort you can definitely achieve what you want in even maybe a few months :) its all about hard work.

about software, i personally use CSP but anything works, theres even artists who draw on paint, you just have to pick a program thats most convenient for you. i think the light and shadow thing is a bit hard to answer sadly T_T but there are many youtube vids and courses abt understanding lighting!

what i used to do when i was like 12 and new at art was just completely copy and redraw a pic i like. i think after a lot of practice you just learn to keep a general style. imo u shouldnt fret about the art style issue as much, there are SO many artists who dont have 1 consistent style but multiple

you learn your own style by experimenting:) it doesnt matter if you are older, its all about muscle memory, you get to keep the things you like when studying and through those studies you develop something on your own^^ dont give up, its tedious work but it pays off!! you can also watch speedpaints

i think what has helped me the best is trying to redraw renders i find very pretty, it helps a lot understanding why things are shaded in a certain way and why you pick the colors you do^^ i really like riot splash arts so ive done it mostly through those, theres also tuts from riot artists on yt !
