This is a big problem with generative AI in general. They turn their training data into a linear-algebraic pâté, so that although there are authors that contributed to an LLM-based text, tracking down those authors is only possible when something goes wrong. The same is true for images and movies.

Hmm. A generative AI performance is made from the images and recordings of a huge number of actors. So ideally you'd credit all of the actors (impossible) and the developers of the software. Which is why the courts have said that AI work isn't copyrightable, but that may change for corporations.

I think "made with Tilly Norwood from Xicoia" is what I'd expect to see.

That "Tilly Norwood" is a tool used by the makers of the movie the same way as the graphics software, the color correction systems, and the camera. An even better comparison may be the props and sets.

If a studio uses the computer graphics software Blender, people say the resulting film is made "with Blender" or "using Blender" and I think there's no reason not to do this with generative AI software, including collections of values that have been given human names by their developers.
