im so happy i’ve stumbled upon this on my tl and i hope more ppl will see it

i feel like i’ll reread it a few times to fully grasp every line and frame

Our zodiac also gives off its own light. A triangle of light that appears before the sunrise. (A figure sits up in the grass, inside the triangle of light beaming down from above. A satellite passes overhead.)

That light I saw was a false dawn. I'd risen to meet it anyway. (A hand seized in another gloved hand while snow rages. A smaller panel shows the person being led is in tears, while being chided - 'I get why people don't like you.' The narration attempts to cover this up, but the large, interrupting text is becoming fainter now - it says 'I DIDN'T SAY THAT.'

Then the season changed. Venus no longer in Capricorn. (A view from the satellite, high above the planet's surface. Light is breaking through.)

Me, out of your orbit. Your star out of my sky. (A voice, over radio, from the planet's atmosphere. 'I feel so stupid. How could I let this happen to me? OVER.' A reply, from the satellite. 'You're not stupid. It's not your fault. OVER.' A small panel shows a tiny, delicate snowflake, finally melting on someone's sleeve.)

11/15 - satellites are the moons we choose ourselves

7/7, the end - and we did, for better or worse.

So why don't YOU visit ME? Ha ha ha! What one lifeform can live with will slowly destroy another. (Two black panels on a white page. In the first, an astronaut appears to be waving jauntily, but when you get closer in the second, you see that there's nothing but a skull in the helmet.)

Did you know Jupiter has its own moons? (White page with four doodles of Jupiter's moons.)

More than you could imagine! (Black panel on a white page, with four of Jupiter's moons labelled and many more visible in the background. The labels read, "Io. Likes to daydream." "Europa. Always trying their best." "Ganymede. Feels really awkward in social situations." "Callisto. Kind of a show-off."

One day, the storm in my eye will cease. In a decade or two, maybe some time after that... (A diagonal split of black and white, Jupiter's head crossing the boundary between the two, surrounded by their moons.)

5/7 - I ended up stealing Callisto's girlfriend

All that will be left is the great red memory. (White page with the Great Red Spot fading away.)

please don't rob yourself from the time to create things. and become little vaults of art at home. keep the dvds, buy books, save those pdfs, download the flacs, get drm-free versions of everything. reject the tool that saves you from thinking. any industry or market can fall, humanity should not.
