They're going after viewers like you, just so they can give tax breaks to billionaires.

We need to keep elevating the voices of southern Minnesota, and I'll fight to do just that.

This show highlights the good in our small towns. The stuff that's ignored by the national networks and big city producers.

It shows our kids that their families and their way of life have value and deserve to be seen and celebrated.

Public broadcasting isn't just about Sesame Street.

We have a local PBS show called Farm Connections that highlights the farmers who keep our small towns thriving, right here in southern Minnesota.

It has episodes like these. Could you imagine NBC carrying a show like this?

My favorite part of this campaign is meeting folks and hearing their stories. It was great to be out in Zumbrota hearing about what our small towns and family farmers need to thrive.

It’s vital that the federal government supports the research and technology that helps our farmers turn a profit and feed the world.

I recently visited the AURI Bioindustrial Innovation Center, which is another example of how southern Minnesota is home to some of the most innovative farmers and agricultural partnerships in the nation.

With everything at the store being so expensive now, our local garage sales are there to save the day.

I agree with Gov. Arne Carlson: the national debt is a real problem, and Rep. Brad Finstad is not leveling with us about it.

This isn’t an abstract issue either. When the debt goes up, it drives up interest rates. By 2034, this bill will lead to the average cost of a mortgage going up by $44,000.

Fairmont is about to have a brand new childcare facility for 99 children, and I appreciated having the chance to tour the facility before it opens up.

Now, a partnership between the local senior center, local businesses, nonprofits, and individual donors have gotten the facility to the finish line.

For nearly a decade, Fairmont has been trying to build a new childcare space to address this problem, but the project was put in limbo because of skyrocketing costs thanks to inflation.

Minnesota is the second most expensive state in the country for childcare, and many of our small towns also have a shortage of childcare providers. 🧵

It was so great to be back in my hometown earlier this month for Stewartville Summerfest.

I've gone there every year since I was a kid, and it meant so much to me to get to be in the parade this year. Go Tigers!

The budget bill now makes seniors, veterans, parents with children over 14, and children who have “aged out” of the foster care system jump through these hoops, just so they don’t go hungry. Let 👏 vulnerable 👏 people 👏 have 👏 dignity.
