All categories trigger something in each of us that make us connect or disconnect with a potential candidate.

If we don't move past the categories, the personal triggers and an unrealistic search for the perfect Mr/Ms Right candidate, the cohesion on the right will doom us.

And because of the categorization - M/F, age, religion, race, public speaking ability, influence, wealth, education, etc. - no one candidate emerges as a winner. Policy seems fairly consistent (fairly) but it's the appearance of the candidate that seems the biggest issue.

Where do we find the leadership that will put up a strong candidate we can ALL get behind? We keep categorizing the demographics of a candidate.

A 3rd party is not the answer; we know they can't win. We have been voting against right wingers or the lesser of two evils for quite awhile now because it's important to prevent the takeover of a dictatorship and to stop fascism.

I've always been a Dem but long time friends are beginning to say, I'm out. They are not going to the repub side but disappointment in the lack of direction, inability to come up with a plan to take back democracy and no focus is losing Dem support.

I'm on the edge here.
