I see the DfE has a group looking at the 2013/4 food based standards, which is very much needed, but I really do hope that the people who actually deliver the meals on the frontline are consulted. I can't believe it's 15 years of @SAfoodforlife catering mark and 22 years since Lizzy Vann and myself took an idea to the late Peter Melchett called Food for Life so proud of everyone I've worked with, every school meals catering teams I visited it's been an honour 💙 @PrueLeith

I want my grandchildren to see family farmers, green fields, cows, and sheep in those fields. For all children to know where their food comes from and how it's produced, this shouldn't be a fairy story it should be a reality for the next generation, NOT LAB GROWN MEAT @lindsaygrahamuk.bsky.social

Add a tablespoon of custard powder mixed with a drop of milk to the rice pudding for the last 10 minutes of cooking, which makes it really creamy. Even though nutmeg is not a nut, I couldn't use it at school

Well, I'm not quite sure what caterers are going to do with 5p UIFSM, nothing for benefitted FSM. People wanted meals made from scratch.They want rid of junk food. In the main caterers have delivered it's not perfect,school meals service can't go on like this, schools, children,staff deserve better
