Local VTuber peeps, what's the genuine oddest interaction you've ever had in chat? Excluding the racist etc buffoons that pop up every once in a while, just a genuinely odd interaction. Here it's two of my chatters, always (lovingly) saying "Fuck you" to each other like clockwork every stream.

It's not even pay gating, but I'm a yapper and I like chatting in chat before I follow someone, to see if I'll actually enjoy myself. No option to do that just makes me NOT want to follow, at all.

Been reading a PMD fanfiction story recently and the nostalgia is hitting me. Favourite game ever is explorers of the sky, and your local snake VTuber has played it on stream! Wish I had more games like that to play tbh, they're all lovely. Perhaps should play Gates to Infinity on stream too!

Oh, absolutely agreed. Like yeah we'll follow each other if we like each other's content and regularly interact over a period of time. But just outright going "follow for follow" is just... sad.

question for other #VTuber people. I heavily dislike followers-only chat mode. It makes sense for large streamers, but for smaller ones for me it's an instant "I don't wanna be here" feeling. It also doesn't fully get rid of bots, cause most of em insta follow. What's the reason you'd use it for?

Well, as long as there's demand people are right to increase prices, at least imo. If you don't like someone's pricing just... don't commission them. There's a LOT of artists out there. Most of everyone can find something within their budget/quality range.

How it feels telling your IRLs that you're a VTuber and regularly stream.

Don't 100% quote me on this (Maybe like 90%?) but I'm fairly sure I've heard that Movavi Video Editor is quite good and beginner friendly.

From what I've heard, Capcom works but it's not THAT good. Otherwise people actually go and edit them in manually, which is a nightmare. Frankly, if you need good editing software I just recommend cracking the most popular ones cause the prices they ask for them are ridiculous.

I summon @melissamoonlight.bsky.social and @saikaphish.bsky.social. I mainly commission these two when commissioning stuff. Saika's prices are... really low and good quality, especially for pixel art/renders (I always pay a little more because, dear god), while Mel's have really good price/quality.

That's the thing, I wasn't looking for artists. It was literally just a post telling people "Hey, don't go for the first cheap commission you see, go to someone recommended to you by others so you don't get shafted". But the buzzword "looking for artists" attracted them like flies.

Half of them are actually just humans asking "CAN I SELF RECOMMEND?????". It's the funniest shit, when the post itself says that you should take recommendations from friends before going for random people.

Random thing for all VTubers, PNGtubers etc looking for artists. Ask your friends first if they can recommend someone. Always better to take the reliability of someone you KNOW is going to output the work at a proper level than saving some bucks on a random artist you know NOTHING about.

I'm mostly interested with social media cause I see such an ungodly amount of people build up a decent following on twitter/bluesky and translate that into a following on other platforms, in the streaming scene. When it comes to casual chatting etc I just use discord, or whatsapp for IRLs.

All VTubers have been there before. Even now, sometimes it happens! As a small VTuber, the greatest skill you can have is absolutely an iron will to power through talking and being entertaining to a wall for hours on end.
