Didn’t even think about the audio version! Asides sound like a clever solution.

I genuinely think footnotes are almost always more fun than endnotes. If I have to flip to the back every time, I just won’t. Let me stay in the moment with the author. But curious to hear if others feel differently?

I don’t think a book needs to have “likable” characters to be great. In fact, some of the most unforgettable novels I’ve read were driven by people I’d never want to meet.

Sometimes I reread a paragraph 3 times not because I don’t understand it but because I spaced out imagining my own dramatic reaction to the scene if I were in it. I win Oscars in my head.

I’ll always choose a 6-hour audiobook with a great narrator over a 900-page literary epic I’ll never finish. Sometimes hearing the story IS the deeper connection. Does format really shape meaning or do we just like to think it does? Curious what others think. 🎧📖
