This is maddening. I am so sorry you had to experience that. My doctor hasn’t even mentioned a GLP-1, and I remain terrified for the day she decides to talk about my weight. It’s coming. It always comes.

She’s taking so well, and every time I think about it, I’m just heartbroken again for her.

One of our PhD students had an interview at an R1 university. She got the tenure line job—a miracle since so few exist—but she can’t take it because she’s from a country on the banned list (not in the Middle East). She can’t get her visa renewed for a job she worked 5 years to get. It’s too much.
