Getting a second Waxwing of the winter in February was a nice early treat.
Tawny Owl, Raven, Reed Bunting & Jay all evaded capture this year despite being present in the garden. #birdringing

The Jackdaw RAS enjoyed a successful season with 200 Jackdaws ringed, up from a prev high of 82 in 2023, plus 270 field observations
Chiffchaff was the most numerous species this year with 300 birds, up from 79 in 2023.
Blackcap, WillowWarbler, Greenfinch & Linnet also did well

Results from garden ringing in 2024.
2155 birds ringed of 54 species.
5 new species for the site were Nightjar, YellowWagtail, YellowBrowedWarbler , CettisWarbler & RingOuzel.
Some species numbers were up dramatically from previous totals, others were noticeably down. #birdringing
