Klaus Stratmann Berlin B undeswirtschaftsministerin Katherina Reiche (CDU) hat es zu ihren vordringlichen Zielen erklärt, mit öffentli-chen Mitteln Anreize für den Bau von Gaskraftwerken zu schaffen. Die Kraftwerke sollen künftig immer dann einspringen, wenn die Stromerzeugung aus Erneuerbaren nicht ausreicht, um die Nachfrage zu decken. Doch die Kritik daran wird immer lauter, und sie kommt auch aus den ei-genen Reihen. Jetzt meldet sich die „Klimaunion“ zu Wort. Thomas Heil-mann, Vorsitzender der Gruppierung, sagte dem Handelsblatt: „Jede neue Subvention für Gaskraftwerke wird ein Preistreiber für unsere Stromkosten, weil der Gaspreis immer stärker zum Taktgeber für den gesamten Strom-markt würde." Notwendig seien „Marktkräfte, die Flexibilität belohnen - nicht staatliche Planvorgaben, die In-novationen und neue Technologien behindern". Die Blockade der Markt-wirtschaft müsse aufhören.

Die Klimaunion untermauert ihre Kritik mit einer noch unveröffentlich-ten Studie, die sie bei dem auf Energie-themen spezialisierten Beratungsun-ternehmen Conenergy in Auftrag ge-geben hat. Die Untersuchung, die dem Handelsblatt vorliegt, kommt zu dem Ergebnis, dass mit Erdgas betriebene Kraftwerke zwar dazu „geeignet" sind, die Stromerzeugung auch in Phasen zu gewährleisten, in denen die Stromer-zeugung aus erneuerbaren Quellen nicht ausreicht. Andere Technologien schneiden in der Studie aber besser ab. Sie werden von den Autoren als „optimale Absi-cherung“ im Energiesystem der Zu-kunft bewertet. Dazu zählen die Auto-ren Batteriespeicher, Pumpspeicher-kraftwerke, Biomassekraftwerke und Kraftwerke, die mit Wasserstoff betrie-ben werden.

Gaskraftwerke sind keine gute Idee, auch, weil sie die Preise treiben könnten. Andere Technologien wären besser, sagt die Klima-Union und stellt sich damit gegen die Pläne der eigenen Ministerin. So berichtet es das Handelsblatt

Zwischenfazit, nachdem ich mich seit Monaten in den Tiefen der Spahn-Maskendeals bewege: Deutschland braucht eine Anti-Korruptions-Einheit. So unabhängig wie der Rechnungshof, aber mit mehr Möglichkeiten der Durchsetzung von Korruptions-Prävention, BEVOR Sachen schief gehen.

Very interesting concept!

Can a README file become a "dashboard" with #dataviz? Maybe.

My web design module has students submitting daily journal entries as Github Issues, which means I can use the API and Github Actions to do all sorts of neat stuff. Simple processing and throw in some ASCII charts, you have a live dash.
