Congress is proposing to expand the harsh time limits to SNAP, which limit many participants to 3 months of assistance over 3 years unless they are working. Yet the average unemployment spell lasts over 5 months. Harsher time limits would cut benefits and increase hardship for thousands more!

Californians are already struggling to afford everyday needs, and these proposals would only make it harder.
