If it’s a test, it’s an easy one. A vote to fund the war is a vote for the war.

I know I sound crazy but instead of spending a billion dollars in a day to kill people in another country we should try spending a billion dollars in a day to help people in this country.

Oh, we are going to have to fight the billionaires every step of the way. And it’s going to take years. And we have to be willing to push our elected leaders every single day loudly. Because the right does that with their leaders. We don’t. We vote and then go about our lives.

Court reform is going to take decades. It has to start somewhere and it has to be a priority of voters. No politician is going to prioritize anything that the base voters don’t demand.

I’ll give you a good example. Joe Biden chaired the Judicial Comm. as senator and failed for so many reasons as that chair and as VP. When he was elected president, lib. groups pressured him to be forceful with nominations, including more women of color and progressives. He did that. It’s a start.

In the modern era, no American president has ordered more military strikes against as many different countries as Donald Trump. None.

They will still support him…

Court reform is going to take every one in the Democratic Party pushing their leaders to reform it. My primary vote is going to the candidate who puts court reform in their top three planks.

And for me, it is 100% about court reform. Without court reform, any progressive agenda is worthless.

If you really care about who the Democrats nominate in 2028, then you should be putting all your political energy to changing the primary calendar. SC and Iowa aren’t picking the progressive in the race.

The other choice of the two choices took 20 times more money, had a map for Gaza development prior to November 2024, and showed his whole ass when it came to Israel in his first term when he sided with settlers and put the embassy in Jerusalem. But DO GO ON.

And I would contend that Presidential politics are completely different. Right now, every one should be pushing the DNC to rebalance the primary calendar and put big blue states first. SC and Iowa aren’t picking an Elizabeth Warren type. They are picking the Gavin Newsom type.

The problem everyone has here, however, is that the “good ones” aren’t the ones running for President. What we have to hope is that of the group who do run for President that the person elected fills their cabinet with “the good ones”…that’s where we can really advocate for specific ideals.

There are people who can’t remember as far back as the first Trump admin, so I’m not putting too much faith in them even knowing what Iran-Contra was…

Iran-Contra happened 40 years ago! It *literally* involved the US selling weapons to... Iran.

So, the argument is we were funding the armed forces of a country we were at war with?
