LRP: No one does deeply unwell characters like Battan. There's more openly horrible (Gunjou, for example), and also-shitty but more relatable (basically all of tmfly's HDWR), but whew. If I want to watch some flawed people make very bad decisions? No one does it like her.

Same. It's just weird to get used to for mech games for me, for some reason. I'll probably give it a try, because I've missed having a BT-world game, ever since HBS' Battletech just decided not to work anymore.

Do you use a joystick or mouse+WASD? I had a hard time getting into M5, because I'd played so much of 2&3 with a good joystick back in the day, and don't currently have one.

I thought that was more a side effect of so many narrative works in the field being from clan POV. Kinda skewed that overton window.

But even then, it's not 'care with the goal of presenting as the opposite gender', so it's not treated the same.

They're pretty clear that they're only targeting trans people.

The second I saw the summary I went, "Oh... this will absolutely destroy me," and needed to have it.
