thinking about the time i was at a bar and the owners let me use the switch setup so i started playing super mario world

without realizing the entire bar was filled with 20somethings who all were just watching me play

i used the rewind feature.

i dont need an entire library of media in my pocket. i just need a copy of over the garden wall to watch during october and the latest FLAVOR FOLEY song on loop.

i wont deny i dont have the strength to switch to a dumb phone. i wont deny ill play duel links or umamusume every day. i wont deny i wont use some convenience that is just as probablamatic

but ive done work to decentralize things from my phone. and my mindset has completely shifted already

im tired of musicians not getting paid properly. im tired of seeing streaming services delete shows from existance. im tired of games being designed like a 9-5 while still trying to milk money from me. im tired of paying more and owning nothing

i dont care if i sound unc or whatever. this is dire.

im excited at how clean my desk is. im excited how i re-organized everything to make my art workflow better. im excited to buy dvds and blu-rays. im excited to use my 3ds more. im excited how my computer now has 40GBs free all of a sudden. im excited at turning off all notifs of non-messaging apps

ive been taking the time to change and declutter everything in my life. my room, my phone, my computer. everything's been sucking so hard that ive been trying to sort my priorities and not just mindlessly live day by day

im excited for my mp3 player to get here so i can reclaim my music library
