I am thinking she wanted to try to do all that stuff she posted on that list in one season, and if so, it’s a lofty goal. I wish she would have let herself stick around to try it in DC in time. The other half of that that makes me nervous is what if she’s set a timeline for her retirement already?

Best vacation I ever had was taking a train to Chicago by myself to eat solo at a bunch of places fellow chefs told me they loved and to see exactly one concert at the Huntington Pavillion. Three days of rotting and talking lovely walks to nowhere. 10/10 best company, too.
