so what I wanted to say is that if you see a person with acne or any other skin condition, don't ask them if they've tried this or that, because the truth is we've probably tried everything at this point or we're in the middle of treatment, and you're not telling us anything new

it makes you think that it's the only thing people see in you, they see your condition, your flaws and they don't see you as a PERSON that they would like to get to know more, so it makes you back away from social life, society in general, it makes you wanna hide and never come out of your room

as a person who has been struggling with acne half of my life I feel like it's not the bullies that made me feel bad about my appearance but rather those who were like "hey have you tried X or Y for your acne? 🙂" especially if they were people who I just met and it's one of the first things they say
