I was doing a bit of spring cleaning today and learned that cool collected marshmallow does NOT like the vacuum. He was in the laundry room when I started and he scrambled and almost fell into the empty washer and closed it on himself. I think he is mad at me now.

Kitchen aid should make a mixer attachment that’s like a paint can mixer but for nut butter jars.

I have officially switched the cats to a weight loss food. It’s the same brand and they’re getting the same amount, it’s just more protein instead of carbs. Hopefully they won’t notice the switch. But if you don’t hear from me, that’s probably why.

*lady rats. I’m tired.

My evening was interrupted when I went downstairs to find one of the last rats squeak-gasping. Got some inhaler puffs in her and raced to the vet. She’s on antibiotics and we shared some smash burger in the car on the way home. Now back to whatever I was doing when that happened …

One of the annoying next door neighbors has been on the phone screaming “the cops are gonna come bro!” for quite some time and I can’t tell if he’s warning or threatening people but I do wish he’d tone it down.

I love this little dog so much sometimes I feel like my heart will explode.

I love when cats are sleeping, wake up, and just go across the room to sleep somewhere else. It seems very important to them.

The precocious ones are learning to use (and fight over) the water bottle. Unsure which of these behaviors is more essential to rat development, as they will grow up to spend far more time fighting over water bottles than drinking from them.

The last season of Paradise ended on such a wild note, now they’re torturing us by opening this season so slowly!

So far I want them to know that this big decked-out cage will be their minimum living standard for the rest of their lives. They will always have appropriate food, as well as fresh foods and tasty snacks. They’ll always have clean water and cozy beds.

As soon as they arrived in our care, the next chapter in their tiny lives started, and we’re gonna make it a good one, where they are spoiled and loved and doted on endlessly.

The moms are all babies themselves and they’ve been through a lot in their tiny lives. They’re not all being the best moms and I don’t blame them, their lives have been very scary and stressful. I just want them to know that ends here.

I like being a rat mom but I’m so glad I’m not an actual rat mom. This sweetie is a champ who is trying to pick up the slack for all of them. She got a special snack!

I came home from the store and didn’t see any of the rats. Where were they hiding?

I looked at the back of the cage.

Ladies! I spent all week putting this beautiful home together for you! What are you doing?

Also the daycare called and you need to go get your babies.

I took these pics right after i put them in the cage, and then let them be. I can hear them exploring and finding their water bottles from the other room. More pictures as they relax!

My foster rats are here! I’m letting them settle but I want to love on the babies so much. Another litter of pinkies were born last night! They were all bundled up in a snuggle sack for transport, their moms will come sort them.

Sometimes I think I will never meet the love of my life because he is probably in his basement 3d printing armor for his cat.

My neighbor/friend/pet sitter is helping me out with the critters and shit around the house. I’m proud of myself for asking for help! I am paying her (she got laid off so I thought it was a good deal for both of us). I really hate asking for help so I get a gold star for that. 🌟

I turned off the heat and opened every window to air out the house. I’m pretending like it’s not supposed to snow again this week …

I had to get up early to let the maintenance guy in but now my dishwasher is working again, so I’m very happy about that.

Well I didn’t know it was supposed to snow tonight, that really made running errands dreadful. I couldn’t see anything driving home and it took an hour. I’m so tired of snow!!

I just saw a billboard advertising Bush playing in Bethlehem on Friday and thought “oh cool, I bet that’s cheap.”

$81 for GA, $170 for a side seat.

Seriously? I didn’t even know they were back together let alone had new albums. I’m not paying that. If Gavin Rossdale is broke that is his problem.
