It’s more than likely just tucked up into the belly fluff, they do that for warmth and comfort. Sometimes their toes will peek out from the fluff at chest height but often it’s just hidden!

I had a whole bunch of leftover Easter pipe cleaner chicks in the basement, with the trend of kids wanting stuff like potatoes and random items I put some out. They were a hit, I think some kids forgot to grab candy because they got so excited hahaha

Yeah it’s weird! I see them everywhere in my area but they seem to avoid my house 😅 That said, my yard is house sparrow heaven so I tend to revert to “specialist” feeders and seed rather than having food that everyone likes. But not even unshelled peanuts drew them in!

Good morning! First time seeing a blue jay at my work feeder. I don’t even get them at my home feeder, weh.

Sorry for how dark the photo is, I haven’t bothered with editing this so it’s straight from camera. I had gone down to the dock and multiple groups on the other side of the lake spooked and did circles. Those specks in the background are more ducks, not sensor dust 😋
