Reform on 13% of the registered vote seems about right and this is with all the major media and parties painting them as THE alternative

As always, far-right support is limited and its mainstreaming comes from the mainstream elite who try to use it as a distraction from their failures

So the candidate who left school at 16 with no A-Levels and who's spent her whole adult life vocational, manual jobs beat the ivory tower academic turned cushy media pundit, but you can be sure we'll still get plenty more casual description of the latter as "white working class".

I’m totally here for a radical overhaul of driving culture.

It is weirdly, so normal that people in vehicles feel it is acceptable to drive fast close to people walking or cycling along a road.

I spoke to the Irish Times earlier about the situation on Old Cabra Road where a petrol station owned by Lissan Coal Company is preventing the delivery of safe pedestrian and cycle infrastructure and faster bus journey times because it affects their commercial profits.

Stormont has the power to transform healthcare, housing and people’s lives. But that power has to be earned.

Political pay should reflect responsibility and delivery - not surge ahead while nurses are understaffed and workers are told there’s no money.

We’re calling for this rise to be paused until public sector workers get fair settlements and Stormont proves it is delivering for the people it serves.

Five meaningful laws in over a year. One of those five was setting up the board that just recommended they receive a 27% pay rise.

Does anyone know another group of workers getting 27%? Should anyone working at this pace receive it?

Waiting lists are soaring, classrooms are overstretched and families are choosing between heating and eating.

And Stormont’s response? Since February 2024, MLAs have passed just 10 pieces of legislation, 4 of them basic budget bills.
