Well of course! When you get new machines the planar orientator has to be set to equator (or wherever you are) settings.
They tested it at the machine factory in Europe or wherever, everything worked fine there and they didn’t bother to run a test after.
Rookie mistake if you ask me.

so, if Australian tissues are upside down. I suppose these were manufactured somewhere on the equator.

Ok, that’s *bad* bad. What’s the reaction to this ? Are there any outrage ?
I would hope it would hurt the government a little... wouldn’t it ?

With this amount of time and money, IA should have already cured cancer and figured out time travel.
Turns out it still fails at basic math and getting data without introducing random errors
It’s never too late to face evidence: it sucks. And forever will.

chart: capital expenditures, quarterly
shows hockey-stick like growth in the capex expenditures of Amazon, Microsoft, Google and meta, almost entirely on data centers
in the most recent quarter it was nearly $100 billion, collectively
The AI infrastructure build-out is so gigantic that in the past 6 months, it contributed more to the growth of the U.S. economy than /all of consumer spending/
The 'magnificent 7' spent more than $100 billion on data centers and the like in the past three months *alone*

Salon drama ? Huh.
As a white dude, the one thing I know about black salons is that they are full from dawn to dusk of people who are only occasionally braiding hair but always talking and laughing about anything and everything.
Tech people can’t comprehend people enjoy being with other people.

Especially given the circumstances of his death. It was one of this celebrity death that made everyone think about mental health, about how public personas can be deceiving and a bunch of other things.
That said, let them try. The outrage would be huge.

The system couldn’t differentiate dirt from damage because both appeared as the exact same blob of pixels. I quit within a month because it was obvious the project was doomed.
Yet because the CEO had daddy’s money and public subsidies they were able to keep going to this day with zero success.

Ha ! I worked for a company doing exactly that ! It turned out to be a disaster too. That’s where I learned what AI was really about, seeing colleagues outlining the same scratch on literally hundreds of photos (all underpaid women, while devs and management were all overpaid men)

A short video about neo-Nazi dress codes in Berlin, which I recorded after yesterday’s protest against Israel’s mass starvation of Palestinians. The most distinctive ones at the moment are Yakuza, Thor Steinar, Lyle and Scott, and Ellesse, but there are others.
