When I heard Dimitri say “I will continue to use you and your friends until the flesh falls from your bones.” Because I can unpack that for a century and not be done

(That sounds backwards but I promise it is not. I wasn't a fan of the idea of marrying former students so I only looked at the adults and welp, options were limited. But boy was I RIGHT.)

So, so, many little moments from realising there were queer characters in the game to the very found familiness of the beagles route to coming back to it after a year away from it for desperate comfort and realising "this is actually incredible and I am so deeply unwell about these characters"

A friend streamed it to me because I didn’t have a switch and she thought I would like it (she wanted someone to share her Ferdibert obsession). After a few hours and the first black eagles support conversations I fell so in love that I bought a used switch, so pretty much from the beginning

This will probably be a thread of me just explaining my whole FE journey and my fandom journey as a whole despite this prompt being so simple. But I wanted to use this as a way to express my appreciation for Three Houses as a whole.

Two moments for me, one for when I watched a playthru as my 1st experience of the game. And one for when I experienced it for myself:

1) Dimitri and Byleth’s conversation about Jeralt’s death and the importance of allowing yourself to grieve. Up to that point I was enjoying Dimitri’s character,

Most definitely by the time skip in the black eagles route, because how the fuck do i not love having an objective of a game being 'kill the evil dragon pope with god and anime on your side'?
Also the tension of having to play nice with Arundel was an amazing touch

“this decision will drastically change the story” & then some playthroughs later realizing why the sound effect when that dialogue box comes up is so critical to the meaning of that choice. i will never be the same

Happy king, happy children, happy futurr

I was lost the moment Byleth and Dimitri reunited after the time skip. Everything about this scene was just perfect. The atmosphere, Chris Hackney's voice acting, the way the light fell into the room. It was emotional, touching, devastating - and I still feel this way every time I see the scene! 💕

Reunion at Dawn map paired with Chasing Daybreak. The drama of the song brilliantly captures the darkness of officially entering the timeskip…

Not even joking that that song is one of three pieces of music that will instantly bring me to tears.

Okay less serious answer but has anyone talked about the Agarthan dubstep —

The immaculate one reveal where I was like “oh man we are so ready for revolution”

I was sold from the first moment I played. Music, voice acting, setting did it all. AM was my 1st run and the internal conflicts and tragedies of BL characters felt very relatable. Esp timeskip Dimitri scene and his redemption arc hit home hard. I can't watch the reunion scene without tearing up.

first time out I played the blue lions
definitely the first map post timeskip. the sense of hopelessness vs the empire and urgency is especially strong with the azure moon route

Reaching the post-timeskip part of my first route and refusing to play for a week because I was too attached to these characters and the world and too terrified of the change that the post timeskip would bring.

time skip Battle of Gronder Field. The map represents one of the main themes of fe3h - the tragedy of how war tear people apart and abt the loss of innocence. It's perfectly represented w the 3 armies in the battle having been all ex-classmates that knew one another, and now have to kill each other

When I accidentally recruited Sylvain in my GD run the first time I played

It's a toss up between Claude pulling Byleth on the dance floor (oh my heart SWOONED) to offering a hand to the bloodied Dimitri. Holy shit y'all

I think the moment that permanently cemented 3H as one of my absolute favorite games ever was Edelgard's C+ support, which combined with the Coronation scene and the Choice to side with or against Edelgard, really got me thinking about all the meticulous details throughout the game prior.

The Flame Emperor reveal. It was when I knew that shit had gone real and I was truly not ready for what the game had in store for me. Four long playthroughs, starting with Crimson Flower, with multiple emotional gut punches, heart-wrenching moments, and eventually finding happiness along the way!

I picked the Black Eagles on my first playthrough, and the reveal that the main antagonist of the game's first half was none other than Edelgard, the protagonist of the route I'd picked, legitimately took me off-guard. It's a twist that was foreshadowed without being obvious.
