It makes sense. I had a whole trinary painted up of SLDF 'mechs for CGS with a story: Isorla from Clan Wolf for CGS helping with the Widowmaker absorption. The Scorpions in the lore are a resource poor Clan, plus everyone likes to get free stuff.

Adaptation. Of course there are those who don't like this, but they can get over it. I also think JRR may have not know what to do with Sam. That may be the British way of thinking as well but I'm speculating.
