They really didn't need to add this cast of quirky generic space soldiers to be Samus' sidekicks. Nothing in the story would change if they were cut entirely and it would actually have been improvement if it was just Samus alone lost in an alien planet trying to find a way home.

Okay after finishing Prime 4 I can see people's issues with it. I still think it's a decent game, but is IS very flawed. You can tell this game had really rough development.

Metroid Prime 4 has been really good. The desert area does kind of suck, but it's not a dealbreaker when rest of the game is genuinely amazing.

I think most people dunking on this game are just nitpickers because it's cool to just hate things these days.

I was initially going to make it random every run, but I discovered how to use time and date functions and thought this would be a fun little stage gimmick.
