Why the hell does Minecraft need to connect to the servers to LAUNCH?? It opens to a local home screen. Half of it is a local singleplayer experience. Multiplayer is OPTIONAL. Why does it need to connect?

It's a shame BlueSky's Minecraft community never really took off, other art communities are thriving here. I'm still hopeful but it is what it is.

I personally recommend trying Tumblr, or trying video format on YouTube. Both platforms push your content over time, which is much better for reach.

Like I said a year ago- it's never too early to start diversifying where you post. Even if growth is slow, it's better than not at all. When Twitter is gone, you'll still have something and you won't have to scramble to create something from scratch- potentially putting your livelihood at stake :(

Like it's not a fun "I told ya so", and genuinely I hoped I was wrong when I said it because a lot of amazing artists and friends still use Twitter.

It doesn't have to be BlueSky, but please consider using a different platform. Hopefully you can find one that doesn't actively try to screw you over.

A year ago I told people Twitter would keep getting worse and it was probably better to move to a different platform long-term.

Now allegedly they're replacing their search and like algorithm with Grok- y'know the AI model that literally worshiped Hitler.
