#jazzsky | King of the Tenors is an album by Ben Webster featuring tracks recorded in 1953 | Webster is accompanied by The Oscar Peterson Trio, and, on several tracks, by Benny Carter and Harry "Sweets" Edison | Originally released as The Consummate Artistry of Ben Webster, this is the 1957 reissue.

#jazzsky | The sadly departed trumpeter Ron Miles recorded for various labels | His final album, Old Main Chapel, his second on the Blue Note label, was released posthumously in 2024 | This was the previous one, accompanied by Brian Blade, Bill Frisell, Jason Moran & Thomas Morgan.

#jazzsky | The New York Jazz Quartet, composed of Roland Hanna on piano, Frank Wess on tenor saxophone and flute, George Mraz on bass and Ben Riley on drums, recorded this album in 1981 on which they play several of their own compositions.

#jazzsky | Boogie Woogie Classics | Great compilation of recordings by old school pianists Albert Ammons & Pete Johnson made in 1939 for Blue Note Records.
