What a fantastic beer this Chimay Grande Réserve is. The Rhum BA works so well with the beer. Beautiful. At 't Parlement, Halle.

Another excellent visit to Café DenHerberg. The Den Herberg lambic is so smooth and soft and their Oude Geuze had the same characteristics. A friendly welcoming place.

Today starts with all 3 Westvleteren beers at In de Vrede cafe. The Blond is tasting great. The 8 was a fantastic pairing for the pâté salad and the 12 for the ice cream infused with the 8 beer.

Good fun old beer and food pairing evening. My favourite was chocolate cake made with Whitbread Stout from 1973 and paired with amazingly good De Dolle Oerbier 1989.
