This is shite. The Complex serves so many artist tribes in Ireland. All artists need is a space, they'll do the rest because they've had to.
It's so frustrating that €10m can be given to the NFL but Dublin CC can't open a basic event space for artists without trying to commercialise everything.
I wrote about The Complex’s first experience of eviction in this paper. In the years since they have clearly embedded themselves in this area of the city and contributed to its vibrancy. We need to protect cultural institutions onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10....
