Consider that a performance might not "suck" or be "stupid" or "disappointing" or "the worst ever" just because you didn't like it or understand it. It wasn't for you. It's time for those of us in certain demographics to sit down and be humble about the fact that the world isn't centered around us.

We had a fun, emotional, empowering time at the Equality Florida Gala tonight. A lot of money raised, a lot of powerful camaraderie, a lot of love in the air. I feel energized and ready to fight for our rights. First up -- killing the proposed bill to outlaw the pride flag (yes, really). 🏳️‍🌈

The ice storm didn't kill all my camellia blooms! Some are brown and will shrivel and die, but others survived the storm and will blossom. A hopeful metaphor, a bit of light in the darkness of insanity.
