Itβs your fault for leaving it parked-up in a dodgy part of London! Iβm surprised you didnβt find it on 12 piles of bricks π

That looks superb! π
Are you going to add your initials - top left - like the original did? At least thatβs what I guess they are.
InterCity - nice. The two best HST liveries right there π

Brands is a nice circuit - the views from turn 1 across track are great.
What event did you attend? It looks like the cars are going the opposite way round to normal?
That is such a simple plan but works really well. Long passing loops at stations were a common feature I remember from my trips to Germany. Keep us posted as the layout expands!
18.01.2026 22:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I binned Twitter several months ago and havenβt missed it at all. Some good accounts havenβt migrated here which is a shame, but, oh well.

Fast train approaching.

48 class β€οΈ. Great little locos and Iβm glad to have seen them in action on my visit to Australia some time ago. Four of them hauling a long coal train was a sight to see!

Last day of the running season yesterday means I just *had* to stretch out my '75 SF Zephyr consist as much as possible.
Should have a few more cars (and fewer stand ins!) when the Museum reopens in the spring, too!
33025 powers through Latchmere with the VSOE train today.

Police and trading standards officers are warning people to be extra vigilant where they purchase their Christmas trees from this year, after ones purchased from a yellow 3-wheeled van in Latchmere station car park were linked to illegal felling in the royal parks.

I'm surprised they've gone for something so complicated. I know they can do amazing things with vinyl wraps, but it must be quite fiddly getting all those lines to sit nicely on the various types of stock.
If it were down to the Treasury I guess we'd have something like Penn Central all-black! π
Interesting bullets:
1 - A pleasant surprise.

3 - A Jolly Good Thing.
4 - Only a short-lived bout of "DRN tennis"!

10.12.2025 16:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not sure it will be on an 08 or 66 as freight operations will stay with the private companies. Network Rail does though have the class 97s (37s), so they may end up under GBR.

"Thus, a production A1A-Bo-Bo unit would not have been out of character; one may speculate perhaps as a high-speed, high-power, six-motor passenger unit with a relatively heavy HEP unit at the rear of the body."
END
"Nonetheless, it may be noted that this was EMDβs third asymmetric bogie locomotive design, after the LWT-12 Bo-1 prototypes and the FL9 Bo-A1A production units. And it did choose Bo-A1A running gear for its abortive FG9 gas generator locomotive project."
Continued...
"As a test vehicle for the HTBB bogie, it is unlikely that EMD would have offered an A1A-Bo-Bo locomotive as a production model. Rather, had there been a demand, it would have offered eight-motor Bo-Bo-Bo-Bo designs using a pair of HTBB bogies."
Continued...
"The leading Co bogie was changed to the A1A form by the removal of the centre traction motor. Evidently a satisfactory weight balance was obtained. It was the only seven-axle vehicle in the group at interest."
