I'm setting most of my stock to roughly 2006, which means weathering and graffiti. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love finding cars on rrpicturearchive.net to make copies of. I've just finished a mural on a Railbox FMC boxcar, my favourite job so far. Weathering still to be done.

Wow, that is superb - talk about a one-of-a-kind boxcar! Very good.

Privileged to join guests at Darlington station in the small hours of this morning, to welcome a replica of Stephenson's Locomotion No. 1 as it joined the Darlington-liveried @lner.co.uk Azuma train before recreating its journey to Stockton just as the original had 200 years previously to the day πŸ™Œ

I'm trying to work out where that is. I reckon its the Brentford - Appleford "Binliner", and somewhere around the Goring/South Stoke area.

I suspect those under & over moments at the bridge were always a big part of what made Dduallt so appealing as a layout - I hope Minffordd may have some of that magic for exhibition-goers, even if they’re not into the Ffestiniog or Cambrian Coast nostalgia.

History made! Today marked a big step forward for America’s railroads. Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern CEOs Jim Vena and Mark George officially signed the agreement to create America’s first transcontinental railroad, building on Abraham Lincoln’s vision from 163 years ago.

The short-sightedness of our electrification policy is truly frustrating. Hopefully sense will prevail - maybe some small β€œfiller” sections, to help join up the existing wires?
