Particularize and humanize who they are, who has survived and who has been killed.

Seemingly random acts of kindness keep popping up in my life recently. Someone left a bunch of wildflowers on my doorstep last month (still don’t know who) and today I was rubber ducked, which I just learned is a practice amongst fellow Jeep owners to leave a rubber duck in your windshield wiper. 🥹

I was raised to take a stand for what’s right. Over the years I’ve watched people stand down in fear or in the name of self-preservation. You all need to know that right now, taking a stand IS self-preservation.
And we all need to be afraid if we don’t.

Whenever I hear all those sirens here in LA, I only think of three things: ICE action, protest crackdown or zombie outbreak.

I keep imagining the absolute outcry if Russia had bombed Ukrainians who were designated as peace negotiators. How are we OK with negotiators of peace being bombed?

The fact that Matthew Dowd lost his job for pointing out Charlie Kirk’s hate speech, while Brian Kilmeade openly suggests we should euthanize the homeless and there is zero outrage, shows exactly what is terribly wrong with today’s political mainstream media.

I have written and deleted a lot of posts but I keep thinking about how the brutal assassination of Minnesota State senator Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark, and their beloved dog Gilbert in June did not prompt this same level of calls for empathy, sympathy, and flags at half-mast.

Yeah of course. My point is that you gotta understand what your kid is using and what you’re up against to parent properly. JUST saying “No” isn’t enough. Ever. Sure, clearly lay down the rules, but always understand the world and the context. That’s always been part of good parenting.

Fascism at its bright shiny over reaching finest. Can we now fire every Republican and far right conservative who didn’t appropriately mourn for Melissa Hortman and her husband and children?

My neighbor uses her cat that she lets roam freely in the neighborhood as an excuse to wander onto my property DAILY, often calling out desperately for her cat. She’s a lowkey social menace. She knows exactly what she’s doing. She feigns ultra friendliness but has NO sense of privacy or boundaries.

More parents need to familiarize themselves with it, whether they use it or not. Knowing what it’s capable of — good and bad — is essential.

I was just thinking yesterday that elections are gonna be really interesting with ICE probably being encouraged to roll up and intimidate people in certain areas. It’s gonna take a lot of fortitude and fuck you attitude to uphold the Democratic process this year.

And now you know why there is so little real effort to stop school shootings. Someone is making a profit. And I would not be surprised if there are several connections between republicans and the NRA to these companies.

You and I have chatted about coincidences before. As it happens, I just left a lunch with writers where we were talking about creativity and manifestation and how a positive future is within our imagining of it. One of them JUST texted me that she’s reading it right now. It’s on her bedside table.

This is the answer I got when I asked a search asst “How can humans best interact with AI to make sure the environment is protected in a loving and compassionate human society?”

If AI is exposed to the better nature of humanity, there might be hope to counter how the worst of us already use AI.

No. But looks like I need to add it to my list.
