And my original post turns out to be correct: GLUE (Global, Urban, and Environmental Studies programs, as well as Food) have been “indefinitely discontinued” at the New School.

Faculty have no list of the 30 impacted programs, only word of mouth. A clarification: History, Anthro, Sociology will close as undergrad majors; GPIA is no longer a grad degree; GLUE programs are anxiously awaiting news of their directive. Except for Psych, PhD admissions indefinitely paused.

The New School is now a place where students cannot major in History, Anthropology, Sociology, Global Policy & International Affairs, Global Studies, Urban Studies, or Environmental Studies. And more pauses, closures, and mergers coming down the pike this week. The future is uncertain.

My sense is that, in addition to genre, the series has moved away from showcasing relatively unknown artists to very well known, I think to its detriment
