We’ve confused purpose with full to-do lists

Apparently there comes a point in life where treating yourself looks like fancy seasonings 😂

Sometimes you just need to prioritise doing absolutely nothing.

That’s what I did today.

I took some time for myself and just sat in one of my favourite reading spots for a couple of hours 😊

You know how Amazon has that “you’ve already bought this book” message, well I need Netflix to have this too for films I’ve watched that I don’t remember and spend 30 minutes watching before I realise 😅

I miss a place where everyone gathers.

Where people share themselves, their thoughts, theirs views, their ideas.

Where there is no algorithm and we see everything in real time.

I miss Twitter, and maybe nothing can compare to what it once was.

I also thought I’d love Bluesky.

“A new Twitter, yay” 💭

But nope. Feels like just another platform, diluting the audience further.

I mean, is anyone really using it yet?

There was no one to follow when I joined (although I haven’t checked in for a while!)

I thought I’d like Threads. But there were instant flaws.

1) Having not prioritised IG, I was starting from zero and others started from an advantage point.

And

2) I really wished there was a “follow everyone you follow on Twitter/X” instead of “follow everyone you follow on instagram” feature 😏

I really want to choose a new platform instead of X.

I loved Twitter! I don’t love X. It’s just not the same vibe as it once was. But, that’s where my largest following is (asides LinkedIn).
