Tomorrow, Iβm running a half-marathon through the desert!
Iβm asthmatic but my brotherβs church in Arizona feeds the hungry, helps the homeless, & tutors tons of underprivileged kids. Their building is fullβthey need a new one! Please support my run; help me help them givebutter.com/c5sZ4h/the-a...
We are at a time and place in the US where women's voices and freedoms are at risk. I cannot wait to read this arricle about a nameless woman whose voice was silenced by society, but was "heard" and elevated by Daniel centuries later.
Thank you for your important work, Daniel!
Thank you!

π¨ I'm thrilled to learn @Cambridge_Uni has covered the immense cost to make my article on the Fair Oratorβan 18th-century woman against the slave tradeβFREE!
Iβve wanted the world to know her story. Could you help by Liking & Reposting?

Would value your prayers as I speak in just a few minutes at #ETS24 on βDo You See This Woman,β exploring how Scripture compels us to see and hear women like Dinah, Tamar, and Hagar. Praying this brief talk helps make the church become safer.

I was one of many squeezed into the front sitting on the floor, many others were standing at the back and along the sides. It was my highlight of #ETS. I hope everyone, everywhere will read @carmenjoyimes.bsky.socialβs paper.
21.11.2024 14:30 β π 11 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I never knew that the Bible doesnβt say Bathsheba was on the roof! @carmenjoyimes.bsky.socialβs βTake Another Look at Bathshebaβ revealed the text as a Rorschach test, exposing what readers see, and reveals what God seesβa victim of sexual violence. Anyone else on BlueSky attending ETS in San Diego this week? Iβd love to attend your paper!

An overlooked giant of the 18th century: Sarah Trimmer (1741-1810)! She authored over 40 works, had 12 children, spent time with the Queen, championed the poor, started Sunday Schools, and influenced Hannah More, Jane Austen, & William Godwin. We need a movie or monograph about her! #history

Agreed! I'm working on an academic journal article about Lewis's deeply inspiring theories of speech, which he displayed through his talking animals.
