My wife works at Brown. They have “security guards” everywhere. Crosswalks. Lobbies. Like neon yellow locusts. Cameras on every corner and room. Swipe card access at entries and rooms. Door guards. But funny how easily a white dude gained access.

my friends, I am in a 10-person capacity record bar in Tokyo requesting songs and drinking Japanese whisky. the owners are a married couple chain smoking behind the bar, slinging cocktails, and spinning records.

That makes sense. It just feels too familiar & very squelchy on repeat. I’m behind on so many other things, so the time investment may not be worth it.

Haven’t been able to get past episode 2. Hasn’t really grabbed my attention. (Ha ha) Does it get better?

Picking is enclosed & vinegar is used for removing smells in the air. Greek is much much garlic (hi I married Greek) & they love outdoor kitchens. Garlic is/was not a Brit thing till “recent” years.

Curries in properly ventilated kitchens, run by immigrants.

My lived experience of Swedish foods are limited to berry deserts, akavit, cheese, chocolate, yogurt and meatballs…so currently my vexation is not yet disproven
