I still remember you guys! I've been busy with both College and Animation. However, I realized that I had an option to switch to a little software called Maya which has made Animation feel SO much better. I'll explain in a later time, but I'm working on something still! not sure when it'll be done.

I reworked alot of stuff over the last month, and now im finally ready to start producing the next animation! Here's a few renders of my Player (Red) doing random poses to test out the new rig. (This is the 5th version.)

Oh cool! I didn't expect my clip to get here.

Fingers! He finally has fingers.

Reworked my Rig for the 5th time now, and it no longer suffers from joints snapping into place, the IK arms don't spaz out when rotated too far, wrists can move entire arm, and fingers bend as intended!

UPDATE: turns out my permissions were messed with. I was seriously about to purchase a $400 software JUST to recover some files...

Hopefully this makes me create more backups for my backups in the future.

Thankfully I DID make separate directories for my project and source files for blender, so at least not TOO much was deleted. I also didn't fully wipe my drive so hopefully recovering my files will be easier. still I feel like a dumbass because even with backups I still lost my files... whoops!

Not even backups could save bme from the blunder that is myself. I needed to reformat my drives so it could work with Linux better, so I backed everything into my NAS server, but I somehow I told it to mirror what I had in my PC so far. meaning it deleted everything else in the process... great.

Cool little face rig test. this should help speed up animating the mouth when the character talks. Sadly I didn't think to set the mouth layout the same way for non-villagers, so I gotta fix that later on. I'll leave the tutorial in the comments if you wanna replicate this.
