With her sword hand in full grip, little baby Ella Cahill arrived into the world to start her journey on the 10th of January.

Our world could not be fuller, and we could not be more in love. No cuter way for our lives to change ❤️

With Of Empires and Dust finished, that makes 1.5 million words – 4 novels, 3 novellas, 2 short stories – written across 3.5 years.

I've only been writing for 3.5 years and that blows my mind because it's my whole life now. 4 years ago I was working in a lab 🤷🏻‍♂️

And Book Four is done.

I full on cried.

I don't think that's how my brain works 😅 it will be 1.4 million published words in a few months and that inner critic always jumps up. I figure it as part of the process 🤷🏻‍♂️

The craft of writing is a fickle thing.

Some days I think 'damn, this is the best work I've ever produced '.

Other days I think 'what if everyone hates this book and it derails my career'.

It's an emotional rollercoaster 😅

There are a few things riiiiight at the end that have slowed down production and we want to make sure everything is in place before we put it up for sale 🙌

It's so nice to see these ARCs going out for a book released back in 2021. The people of BlueSky never saw 'ARCgate' on twitter, but it's lovely to have these ARCs going to passionate the readers 🧡

There's no shame. We all move at our own pace. There are quite a few people I know who laugh at my wordcounts 😅

Hey, man. 6k words a week will get you 60k words in 2.5 months, and a full novel in 5 months. That's nothing to be sniffed at!

Sorry for the maths mansplain, but I think sometimes we need to be clearly told how great we're doing!

I'm aiming for a March release date, with the majority of the book already having been passed through beta, and now in copyediting.

I've been quiet as hell because I'm working day and night to get this book finished. Sorry for my lack of replies!

We've just crossed the 400,000 word mark. Somewhere between 30,000-50,000 more to go. 10 days?
