The Province has just forced the largest property tax hike in Calgary history. A 21% increase to their share that will hit families, seniors, and renters hard.

I'm calling an Special Meeting of Council for 9:30 a.m. on March 4, 2026 to defend Calgary taxpayers and determine immediate next steps.

In 2026, Alberta is increasing its share of your property tax bill by 21.05%. Nearly 42% of every residential property tax dollar now goes to Province.

'An idea whose time has come': Motion proposes pathways from Calgary to Airdrie and Cochrane Ward 3 councillor Andrew Yule wants to establish an intermunicipal pathway network that links Calgary to its neighbouring cities and towns.

There is something deeply gratifying about leaving your local community and arriving in another by bike. This will lead to more café and service engagement and promote bike/ebike sales and rentals. It also offers an alternative commute option in the age of ebikes.

Honoured to attend Miskanawah’s Annual Friendship Round Dance last night. No one higher, no one left out. From East Calgary kid to Mayor, I carry that lesson with me. Leadership is stewardship. Community is shared. Grateful to stand together on Treaty 7 territory. Hiy hiy.

Snow Event Update February 16, 2026

It is currently snowing in Calgary and the surrounding area. Up to 20 cms of snow is expected to fall across the region by Tuesday morning.

Family is not always simple. It can be complicated. It looks different for everyone. Sometimes it is the family we are born into. Sometimes it is the family we choose. However it looks in your life I hope today you feel grateful for the people who carried you forward & helped you become who you are.

I was blessed to attend the world premiere of The Tale of the Gifted Prince at Theatre Calgary. It was magical, heartfelt, and beautifully performed.

The first bike shop I ever hung out in. I still remember our early conversations!

My heart goes out to the people of Tumbler Ridge and everyone affected by the devastating tragedy in their community. We are mourning lives lost, standing with those who were injured, and holding close the families whose worlds have been changed forever.

So it wasn't just me and kiddo...
