Sounds like she’s making an effort to see the other side at least but I recognize that thought pattern. 😅 It doesn’t have very strong adhesive!

Character death has its place. For me it has to be critical to the plot or to a survivor’s development. Loss is necessary and can be devastating to write. I’m not happy to kill any character- side characters and evil antagonists included - but I’m not gonna not just to avoid 😭.

Rin believes other people just let you down, so thanks but no thanks to a quest to get rich and better the world. Except she's the only one who can access the magic they're seeking—stupid ancestor—so Rin and all her knives get kidnapped. Someone's getting stabbed for this.
