It’s a lot of rhetoric up front, democratically insulting rhetoric to be sure (insulting Christians is the opposite of anti-American, you thin-skinned America-hating theocrats).

But the substance is “we will use the laws we have” bc … that’s all an EO can do.

Prosecutors are balking at charging, to the point Trump 2.0 appointees are choosing to get fired rather than charge.

Even Trump district judges are holding the line, bet they’ll toss bad cases that make it thru.

This is bad—but it’s also designed to intimidate.

This is bad, but also vital to remember: it’s an EO.

It’s not a new law. It’s just instructions to his appointees. Who remain constrained by the Fed criminal code.

And, to preempt the doomers:

Those.
Laws.
Are.
Holding.

That’s why Trump’s losing it over Comey in EDVA.
