If this portrayal greatly offends you then I can redraw (plz don't sue).
I wanted to move more towards page format and screen tones offered a way to make more dense, textured work.
Your comic had a lot of examples of both *and* showcased it in webcomic form.
So it was a natural pick for study.
Thanks to @kikirini.bsky.social for allowing me to use Yasha from Kuro Shouri as one of the doctors.
I spent a fair amount of time intently studying that comic while learning page formats, tones and such.

ALINR Ep. 50 Page 2. When asked about Nowakowski, a familiar looking cashier responds in an almost hostile manner, wishing to be left alone. Cutting back to a dark lab, two doctors discuss the lack of info obtained from the interviews. One shows a newspaper article about a child being thrown through a window and suggests Anya may have had something to do with it but it unable to draw a decisive conclusion.

I can vouch that both Grease Pencil and Krita are just fine for 2D, hand drawn animation. They put pictures on a timeline; editing and ingenuity fills in all the other gaps, right? What's missing? Let me know; I'm willing to try and troubleshoot.

I've been very interested in making a 2D, hand drawn animation pipeline *using only free software* and "lack of options" hasn't been an issue for me.
Verified my domain and updated my handle.
FYI my last name is still Dotcom tho
On more than one occasion, I've tried brushing eraser shavings off my tablet screen after using the erase tool.
I can't remember the last time I used a pencil. Even when I draw traditional I've only used ink the last few years.
Resist the muscle memory of reaching for CTRL-Z when you draw a line that's 0.001 mm away from smooth.

Kana peeks over the couch and makes a kissy face at Jette. "Jette... Time for some kissin' service!"
"I *said* I want some *kissin' service*" Kana, still puckered, leans further over but Jette hovers just out of reach.
(Wobbly) "Jette.. Kis... Sin'... Ser... Vice..!" Kana hangs onto the back of the couch while leaning all the way over like a seesaw, trembling from trying to keep herself from crashing to the floor. Jette coyly scoots away, teasing Kana to go even further.
Side view of previous scene. Kana is positioned like a penguin sliding on its belly, balanced on the back of the couch, which is sagging under the stress. She stretches her lips as far forward as she can. Jette, lying on the floor and hopelessly of range, is just impressed. It's gotta take a lot of core strength to hold yourself up like that.
