That’s assuming there are assets worth something to pay for, but err newsflash they said the assets are worthless themselves, because they didn’t invest in them, just stripped the services bare.

Not only will shareholders get nothing but those responsible will be prosecuted.

The tactic is doomed to failure for two reasons. The first is that their core voters despise Reform's ideas and values, so sharing them is alienating. The second is that the Greens' policies do reflect Labour voters' core values, so opposing them is still more alienating.

There are 2 ways to deal with a rival party. One is to show you have better ideas. The other is to show that you share their values, but have better ways to implement them. Labour has decided to apply the first tactic to the Greens and the second to Reform, when it should be vice versa.

Sorry to bang on about this but this brilliant docuseries on channel 4 truly angered me. The water companies should be renationalised without compensation (they have had their compensation over the years) and their bosses be jailed for gross incompetence
